Ralph Reed

Ralph Reed’s experience has been with all aspects of the upstream portion of the oil and natural gas business over the past 40 years.  He was involved with a major oil company early in his career and with two independent production companies during the last 20 years.  During this time Reed has become familiar with most aspects of leasing, permitting, drilling, evaluating, completing, marketing, producing, reworking/recompleting, abandoning and reclaiming oil and gas wells. This experience includes economics, safety, regulatory and environmental aspects of these operations. Only marketing had not been within his hands on experience, but he had been exposed by virtue of management responsibility at times.

Reed is the retired President and COO of Barrett Resources Corp.  He has held executive management and engineering positions with Cotton Petroleum Corp. and Amoco Production Corp.  He has a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and served in the US Marine Corps receiving the rank of Captain.
