Jeanne M. Perdue

Jeanne is Senior Technology Editor of Harts E&P magazine.  She is an oil journalist who covers information technology from around the world for the upstream oil and gas sector. Jeanne has been very active in the Society of Petroleum Engineers. She was the first woman to be appointed Review Chairman for the SPE Reservoir Engineering journal, she helped develop the SPE MasterDisc CD-ROM and SPE Magic Suitcase, and now serves on the eSPE committee.

She chairs the SPE Gulf Coast Sections Community Services Committee, overseeing SPE's participation in Earth Science Week, National Engineers Week, high school recruiting, the Denver Earth Science Program, Science Engineering Fair of Houston, Magic Suitcase Presentations, and computer donations, etc.

Her topics are; “How Safe/Important is the (Offshore) Oil Industry?”, “The Oil Industry is as High-Tech as NASA” and “Big Oil Needs a PR Campaign”.  She is an advisor with the Energy Literacy Project.
