Dr.
Van Kirk is the head of the Department of Petroleum
Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines since 1980. And
has taught at CSM since 1978.
Dr. Van Kirk’s expertise is in reservoir engineering
and simulation. Prior
to his tenure at CSM, he worked for Scientific Software, Shell
Oil and Humble Oil and Refining.
Dr. Van Kirk is a member of the SPE and has lectured worldwide
for that professional society.
Dr. Van Kirk received his Ph.D. from CSM and has
his MS and BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of
Southern California.
