The National Corn Growers
Association offers a web-based curriculum that uses examples from the corn
industry to teach students about the environment, mathematics, history, science,
and many others. Each section of curriculum offers a hands on lesson plan
that is adaptable for all ages, a brief story, and background for teachers.
The lesson plans will teach the students about the environment (and more
specifically corn), as well as its important role in American history,
geography, nutrition, and genetics. The NCGA also offers a more
specialized site for younger kids that gives useful facts about corn and its
uses.
This program is rated a 4.
