Mineral Information Institute

Mineral Information Institute

The Mineral Information Institute helps classroom teachers develop materials that are directly usable by K-12 students.  The MII tries to introduce people to the social and economic benefits of minerals and other natural resources, and how they can be used in an environmentally responsible manner.  The MII offers three different sets of curriculum: A Study of the Earth, Everything We Have and Everything We Use Comes from Our Natural Resources, and Everyday Uses of Minerals. These packets have over 150 pages of interactive sheets for the student and the teacher. The material covered in these lesson plans teach the student about the earth and the minerals that we use everyday.

This program is rated a 3.
