Keep America Beautiful

Keep America Beautiful

Keep America Beautiful offers educational materials for use in kindergarten through grade 12. Waste in Place, a curriculum supplement for educators of kindergarten through grade 6 students, introduces children to responsible waste handling in over 30 hands-on lesson plans.  Also, KAB offers a curriculum called Hidden Resource, a curriculum supplement for educators of students in grades 7 through 12.  This provides an overview of solid waste and encourages students to research available options and make decisions through role-playing in a mock crisis. Both curricula are available for a fee. The curriculum presents information about reuse and recycling in an entertaining and easy-to-understand way, through simple at-home or at-school projects.  Free samples of KAB lesson plans and other publications are available.
