Foundation for Teaching Economics

Foundation for Teaching Economics

The Foundation for Teaching Economics is committed to improving the level of economics teaching in America's public schools. Their website provides a number of information for the economic aspect of teaching. They provide a large number of seminars and workshops for teachers, and also have online seminars designed to improve teaching economics. They have dozens of free lesson plans for economy that have either been designed by the FTE or by teachers around the country and then approved by the FTE. The most exciting part of this website is the fact that they are starting up an Environment and the Economy curriculum. They currently have a four day workshop addressing this area, and will have more lesson plans in the future. In addition, they have a project which strives to connect teachers and acts as a sounding board for lesson plan ideas and various teaching ideas..
