The American Geologic Institute
is dedicated to producing innovative inquiry-based curriculum for K-12 earth
science education. For high school students, the AGI offers a program
titled EarthComm which aims to exterminate a national deficiency in high-school
Earth Science education, and on a complete high-school Earth Science curriculum.
The EarthComm curriculum ranges from geology, to resources, to the geosphere,
and to the evolution of the Earth's systems. For middle school students,
the AGI offers two programs titled Investigating Earth Systems, and Constructing
Understandings of Earth Systems, which are dedicated teach younger students the
basics about Earth Science. These programs offer student textbooks,
teachers guides, and online environmental curriculum.
