Symposium on America's Energy Future

Dr. Craig Van Kirk participated in a symposium sponsored by The National Academy of Engineers entitled "Power Plays: Shaping America's Energy Future."  The symposium discussed the realities of energy supply recognizing the major role hydrocarbons will continue to play, the time frame for renewables, and other exotic sources to become significant resources and actions that will increase domestic supply of energy.

The symposium also recommended that engineers and other trained persons in the energy industry become more involved in public/government policy and PR.  The major point of the symposium was focused on Public Education.
