The ELP has participated in an
effort to promote national energy education programs as a part of the current
efforts in Congress to build a National Energy Policy. The various
position papers below describe the ELP's efforts to promote a National Energy
Policy.
"Public Energy Education: Is It Worth It? And Whose Job Is It Anyway?"
is an article published in the Journal of Petroleum Technology about the
need for national energy education and its benefits.
"The Problem With Alligators"
describes the long-term need for a National Energy Policy and a National Public
Energy Education program to create an "energy-literate" public.
