Sam Butler, President of Trinity Petroleum and a member of the ELP Board of Directors represented the ELP on a panel at this hearing.  The ELP proposed updating several of the recent national surveys to assess the level of public energy literacy.  This step is needed so that credible programs can be designed to address the literacy issue and to guide the DOE in applying technology that will be supported by the public.
